Norwich airline Linksair in fly-drive partnership with Europcar

UK regional airline Linksair, which recently introduced daily weekday services to Cardiff, South Wales and Anglesey, North Wales from Norwich International Airport, has announced a new fly-drive partnership with Europcar, the car hire brand.

Under the new partnership, passengers booking on the new Cardiff and Anglesey air services are offered a 10 percent discount on the hire of all cars and vans via Linksair.

With a branch in all airports served by Linksair including Norwich International, the new Europcar car-hire service is intended at making the service more user friendly both for business and leisure travellers flying Norwich.

Roger Hage, Linksair commercial manager, said: ‘We are delighted one of the biggest vehicle hire brands is so keen to work with us not only in Norwich, Cardiff and Anglesey, but across our network. With the new Norwich to Cardiff and Anglesey service being such a valued time saving compared to driving or using the train for business or connecting offshore for example, arriving fresh and ready for their day, a saving on car-hire can also now be made’

Europcar Marketing and Partnership Support Manager, Simon Burnley, said ‘At Europcar we are pleased to be working in partnership with Linksair, offering passengers preferential rates for their onward travel needs.’

Norwich Airport Operations Director and General Manager, Richard Pace added: ‘The new working partnership between Linksair and Eurocar further enhances the convenience and cost effectiveness of our new Norwich to Cardiff route which provides local leisure and business travellers with an opportunity to reach Wales from Norfolk in just over an hour.’

Linksair recently announced a new daily weekday Cardiff-Norwich route, which will depart from Cardiff daily at 10.20AM each weekday, with a return service leaving Norwich at 2.20PM (1.20PM Fridays) and with fares starting at £59.00 one-way. The new route is in addition to Linksair’s Cardiff-Anglesey twice daily weekday service and its Robin-Hood Airport services to the Isle of Man and Belfast.

The new fly-drive partnership should benefit passengers looking to attend events such as the Renewable Wales conference on May 20-21 or the Rugby World Cup throughout August in Cardiff and the Ashes Cricket Test in Glamorgan.
