and Jet2holidays announces services from Birmingham Airport

Leisure airline and package holiday company, and Jet2holidays, have recently announced the launch of their flights and holidays from Birmingham Airport, their eighth UK airport base.

The airline has announced 15 popular sun destinations for summer 2017 giving UK holidaymakers improved choice for their sunshine breaks next year. The destinations include Alicante, Crete (Heraklion), Faro, Fuerteventura, Girona (Costa Brava), Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Majorca, Malaga, Menorca, Paphos, Reus, Rhodes and Tenerife.

A total of 57 weekly flights will operate to these destinations, with daily services to popular destinations like Alicante, Faro and Majorca. 590,000 seats will be available for summer 2017 and the flights will operate on four of and Jet2holidays’ new Boeing 737-800 next generation aircraft. The first flights from Birmingham Airport will take off on Thursday March 30, 2017 to Faro and Malaga, the Airport said in a release.

Customers can take their pick from a range of 2-5 star hotels with flights, a 22kg baggage allowance and 24-hour in-resort service included. Thousands of free child places are also available plus all infants go free, the company said. and Jet2holidays’ arrival in Birmingham is also expected to create more than 200 new jobs, including flight and cabin crew, engineers and ground operations staff, it added.
