easyJet announces first flights to Milan, Biarritz and Brindisi from Bristol Airport

Last week, easyJet launched its first flights from Bristol Airport to Milan, Biarritz and Brindisi, offering travellers increased opportunity to explore European destinations this summer.

easyJet’s first flight from Bristol to Milan Malpensa airport in Italy took off on July 1, while the first flight to Biarritz in France was on Tuesday July 2, followed by the airline’s first flight to Brindisi, also in Italy.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager commented: ‘We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating further expansion at Bristol Airport and with three inaugural flights taking off this week we are pleased to be offering even more variety for our customers in Bristol this summer, whether they are looking for a lively city break, cultural getaway or scenic surf trip.

‘Having been at Bristol Airport for 18 years, the addition of another aircraft this summer will help us to deliver long term, sustainable growth at the airport whilst providing passengers with a greater range of destinations, all with low fares and great service.’

Nigel Scott, business development director, Bristol Airport said: ‘We are delighted to see these exciting destinations commence this week from Bristol Airport. The new routes further extend the choice and options of flights available to passengers. easyJet’s decision to base an additional aircraft at Bristol, bringing the total to 17 based aircraft, provides these new routes and an additional daily Paris flight, improving business connectivity. Frequency of flights to Paris is vitally important for businesses such as EDF Energy, Airbus and other key corporate clients and opens up further opportunities for inbound tourism using Bristol as the gateway to the region.’

easyJet has now launched five routes from Bristol this summer, with the first flights to Montpellier in France and the Greek Island of Rhodes launched in June. This airline also began operating an additional daily flight between Bristol and Paris, providing more choice to customers for a city getaway to the French capital.

easyJet expects to carry more than 36,550 passengers across these new routes this summer. Many low fares are also available for those looking to enjoy sunshine in some of the UK’s favourite European destinations and flights to these new destinations are available online at easyJet.com with fares from £22.99, the airline said.
