Jet2.com and Jet2holidays adds Santorini from Birmingham Airport

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has announced its third new Greek destinations from Birmingham Airport for Summer 2020 – the beautiful island of Santorini.

In response to increasing demand for holidays to Greece, Jet2 said it will operate a weekly Tuesday service from Birmingham to Santorini in Summer 2020. This will run from May 5 until October 27, and the scale of the programme represents almost 10,000 seats on sale in total.

Besides enjoying beautiful views along the caldera, holidaymakers can see the sunset at Oia, enjoy the local vineyards, or visit several key archaeological sites, such as ancient Akrotiri, a Minoan settlement preserved under volcanic ash. Jet2holidays customers can choose from a selection of accommodation ranging from traditional family run hotels to 5-star honeymoon retreats in resorts such as Imerovigli, Kamari, Megalachori, Perissa, Perivolos and Thira.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘Local holidaymakers have been asking for us to operate our award-winning flights and holidays to Santorini, and we have responded with this fantastic programme.
