Newcastle International Airport has announced the addition of a new daily service to Frankfurt Airport, which will be operated by Lufthansa.
The central German city of Frankfurt is a popular choice for both business and leisure passengers. Besides being home to one of the largest stock exchanges and Europe’s Central Bank, the city has a rich collection of museums, many vineries in the Rheingau region and is near to Germany’s Black Forest as well as other popular German regions.
The new route will commence on the June 28, 2021, and flights will operate seven days a week between the two cities. Frankfurt Airport is Lufthansa’s largest hub and will provide passengers with easy access to cities throughout Europe, The Middle East, the Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Flights will depart Frankfurt at 16:10 every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and depart Newcastle at 17:35. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flights will depart Frankfurt at 10:20 and Newcastle at 12:15. Flights are on sale now and are available to book at Lufthansa.com. Fares to Frankfurt start from £89 round trip including all taxes, fees and carrier charges and carry-on bag.
