Irish low fares airline, Ryanair, has announced the addition of a new Zadar, Croatia route to its Bristol summer 2017 schedule, with a twice weekly service beginning March-end 2017.

In addition to the new twice weekly Zadar route, the new services introduced in the summer schedule include flights to Bucharest (twice x weekly) and Venice Marco Polo (four x weekly). Ryanair’s Bristol summer 2017 schedule will operate 125 weekly flights to 31 destinations in total, delivering over 1.7m customers p.a. at Bristol airport, the airline said.

Ryanair added that it will continue to connect Bristol with popular sun destinations including Alicante (10 weekly), Malaga (eight weekly) and Palma (10 weekly), with better timings and lower fares.

Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said: ‘We are pleased to add a new Zadar route to our Bristol summer 2017 schedule, which will operate twice weekly from the end of March. Our Bristol summer 2017 schedule includes 31 routes in total, including new summer routes to Bucharest and Venice Marco Polo and extra flights to Warsaw, which will deliver over 1.7m customers p.a. and support 1,300 jobs at Bristol Airport.

‘Customers can look forward to even lower fares when they make advance bookings for summer 2017, so there’s never been a better time to book a low fare flight on Ryanair and we urge all customers who wish to book their summer 2017 holidays to do so now on the Ryanair.com website, where they can avail of the lowest fare air travel to and from Bristol.’

Peter Downes, Bristol Airport said: ‘We are delighted with the announcement of the new Zadar route commencing from Bristol Airport from summer 2017. This destination takes the Ryanair network at Bristol to over 30 routes, offering customers in the South West and Wales more choice than ever before.

‘Croatia is one of our fastest-growing country markets, and I am sure the addition of this new route will be a great success as customers living in our region seek new and exciting destinations to visit next year. Similarly, the addition of Zadar will continue to put the South West on the map for international visitors looking to experience everything the region has to offer.’

Separately Ryanair said that it is expected to carry over 6 million customers between December 18 and January 7 across its European network, with 1.1 million extra seats added for people flying home for the holiday season.
