British Airways, the UK’s flag carrier, has announced the resumption of its direct flights from London Gatwick to Jersey, offering travellers convenient access to the sun-drenched shores of this quintessentially British holiday destination.
Renowned for its natural beauty and diverse attractions, Jersey has long been a favoured spot for short breaks and romantic getaways among British travellers. Now, British Airways is reconnecting travellers with this picturesque island, with flights scheduled to commence on May 23, 2024.
The airline will operate four weekly services from London Gatwick to Jersey throughout the summer 2024 schedule, providing flexibility for travellers to plan their island escape. These flights will initially operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with additional services anticipated to commence in July.
The flights will be operated using British Airways’ Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, featuring both economic and Club Europe business class cabins. Return flights start from £72 and are available for booking online.
‘British Airways has announced the launch of various long-haul and short-haul routes from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Edinburgh for 2024,’ the airline said. ‘In addition, the national flag carrier is returning to London Stansted for the first time since the pandemic and it continues to increase the choice available to its customers globally.’
This reintroduction of flights to Jersey from London Gatwick complements British Airways’ existing routes from London Heathrow to the island.
In addition to the resumption of services to Jersey, British Airways is expanding its route network for summer 2024, including the introduction of new routes from Spain to UK airports.
