Emirates has announced its return to Edinburgh with daily flight operations starting from November 4, 2024. The much-awaited comeback to the Scottish capital and its hub in Dubai will complement the airline’s existing daily A380 flight to Glasgow, providing customers with a total of 14 weekly flights to and from the country.

Edinburgh is a highly sought-after leisure and business destination, with both its Old Town and New Town designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From charming streets and historic castles to a thriving arts and culture scene, the city offers something for everyone.

The Dubai to Edinburgh route will be operated using the Emirates A350-900 aircraft, configured with 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Economy, and 259 seats in Economy Class.

Emirates flight EK23 will depart Dubai at 14:50hrs and arrive in Edinburgh at 19:05hrs local time. The return flight, EK24, will depart Edinburgh at 20:40hrs and arrive in Dubai at 08:05hrs the following day.

Emirates first launched operations to Edinburgh in 2018 using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The airline will now resume services to the city with its new A350 aircraft, featuring spacious cabins, high ceilings, and customised mood lighting.

Passengers traveling from Edinburgh can access Emirates’ extensive network of over 130 destinations via Dubai, including popular destinations such as the Maldives, Bangkok, Sydney, and Bali.

Emirates’ new A350 aircraft, scheduled to enter service in September 2024, will serve nine destinations across the Middle East, GCC, West Asia, and Europe.

Edinburgh will be Emirates’ eighth destination in the UK, with the airline serving the country with 133 weekly flights across seven gateways, including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Glasgow, utilizing a mix of Emirates A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
