Travel Counsellors has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing £1 billion in annual sales for the first time. This achievement marks a significant stride in response to increasing demand in global travel, demonstrating robust growth in both leisure and corporate sectors.

The company’s success is largely attributed to its strong focus on tailor-made travel experiences, supported by an innovative tech platform. This has enabled Travel Counsellors to cater effectively to a broad customer base, ranging from individual holidaymakers to small and medium-sized business clients.

In the past year, Travel Counsellors reported sales of £735 million from leisure customers and £265 million from corporate clients. These impressive figures highlight a strong demand for personalised travel experiences. Notably, £364 million was generated through tailored TC packages, showcasing the company’s ability to deliver customised services that resonate with its diverse clientele.

The tech platform empowers travel agents to build and maintain personalised relationships with clients, enhancing customer loyalty. This personal touch, paired with cutting-edge digital tools, enables the company to capitalise on the post-pandemic travel boom effectively.

On the corporate side, the company facilitated over 164,000 bookings, with an average value of £1,577, reflecting its strong grasp on the business travel market. A notable 70% increase in demand for Japanese trips was observed, indicating a shift in travel preferences.

In response to the rising travel demand, the company plans to double its revenues over the next five years. This growth strategy is based on expanding its workforce and maintaining a strong focus on premium leisure and corporate markets.

CEO Steve Byrne highlights the importance of this personalised approach, stating that it distinguishes Travel Counsellors in the market. ‘Our counsellors are equipped to provide bespoke travel solutions, which has proven essential for our growth,’ he explained.
