Windstar Cruises is set to redefine luxury travel with its upcoming vessel, the Star Seeker.
Slated for launch in January 2026, this exquisitely designed ship is built to offer unmatched comfort and elegance.
Windstar Cruises has unveiled the Star Seeker, the latest addition to their fleet, scheduled to make its debut in January 2026. Designed to accommodate 224 guests, this new vessel promises luxury and elegance. The ship, currently being constructed in Portugal, will feature 112 suites, the majority of which boast private verandas or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows.
The Star Seeker is equipped with an array of luxurious amenities aimed at enhancing passenger experience. There are five distinct dining options, offering a variety of cuisines to suit diverse tastes. Additionally, a state-of-the-art spa and a comprehensive fitness centre are available, along with a watersports platform that provides direct sea access.
Windstar Cruises offers a diverse range of accommodation types aboard the Star Seeker, with 12 options including the new Horizon Owner’s Suites. These suites can be combined with adjacent units to create expansive living spaces, ideal for multi-generational families looking to travel together. As is customary with Windstar, there are no interior cabins.
The Star Seeker is set to begin its maiden voyage in early January 2026, embarking on a transatlantic journey from Malaga to Miami. Following its christening at the US port, the vessel will operate Caribbean cruises. Subsequently, it will navigate along America’s West Coast, offering summer cruises in Alaska.
Following its initial routes, the Star Seeker will journey to Japan and Southeast Asia, expanding Windstar’s reach in these regions. The introduction of this ship represents Windstar’s commitment to enhancing its global offerings and providing unique travel experiences across diverse geographies.
Besides the Star Seeker, Windstar is set to launch another sister ship, the Star Explorer, in December 2026. This expansion underscores the company’s strategic growth plan, aimed at broadening their service portfolio and exploring new travel markets.
Stijn Creupelandt, Vice-President of Hotel Operations at Windstar Cruises, emphasised the tranquil atmosphere of the suites. He stated, “Guests aboard Star Seeker will experience a sense of tranquillity in their suites; they are designed to be an oasis for relaxation.”
The launch of the Star Seeker marks a significant step for Windstar Cruises, blending luxury with innovative travel experiences. With a strategic emphasis on expanding global itineraries, the company is poised to offer unparalleled adventures to travellers worldwide.
