Active Travel Group has achieved a major sales milestone, topping £50 million annually.

    • Sales grew by 19% over the past year, highlighting strong market performance.
    • Pre-Covid comparison shows a 65% increase in booked revenue for the same period to £51 million.
    • Outdoor holiday demand, especially for hiking, cycling, and skiing, has exceeded expectations for 2024-25.
    • The company aims for a 50% sales increase by 2028 with ongoing technological investments.

Active Travel Group (ATG) has reported an impressive achievement in their annual sales, crossing the £50 million threshold. This milestone represents a 19% growth from the previous year, emphasising the company’s strong position in the market.

Craig Burton, the CEO, expressed satisfaction with this advancement, acknowledging the continuation of demand for high-quality, activity-based travel options both domestically and internationally. ‘It’s been another fantastic year for ATG,’ he remarked.

The company’s performance shows a notable increase in pre-Covid booked revenue, rising by 65% to reach £51 million. This is indicative of the robust recovery and growth trajectory ATG is experiencing in the post-pandemic environment.

Outdoor holidays continue to be a significant growth driver with hiking, cycling, and ski bookings surpassing initial forecasts. The Wilderness Group, a subsidiary, is more than 95% booked for the summer, while Ski Solutions has noted ‘staggering’ demand for the upcoming 2024-25 period, up 19% from a record-setting previous year.

Among the standout trends this summer are Scotland, with a 20% increase in bookings by international agents, and the Cotswolds, where e-bike trips are seeing heightened interest. The Cycling for Softies brand has responded to this demand by integrating e-bikes in all itineraries and experiencing particularly high demand for luxury tours in Tuscany and Umbria.

Technological advancements have played a pivotal role in supporting ATG’s growth. New websites launched for each of the group brands have enabled the effective delivery of their core plans. The group’s strategy aims to achieve a further 50% sales growth to £75 million by 2028.

Active Travel Group’s strategic initiatives and market responsiveness position it well for sustained growth.
