An array of individuals and companies were honoured for their commitment and progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion within the travel industry.

    • The International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) held its second annual awards at Expedia’s London offices, recognising outstanding contributions.
    • Judges from across the industry acknowledged the inspiring efforts of both winners and finalists in fostering inclusion and equality.
    • Awards categories included DEI Professional, DEI Champion, Inclusive Talent and Recruitment, Allyship Heroes, Female Leader, and Female in Travel Tech.
    • The event highlighted the often unsung progress in DEI, offering a platform for shared learning and celebration.

Businesses and individuals within the travel sector were recognised by Women in Travel CIC for their efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The second annual International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) awards took place at Expedia’s London offices, where participants were praised for their significant achievements.

The awards, spanning various categories, spotlighted those making noteworthy strides in DEI efforts across the industry. Judges drawn from different sectors were impressed by the calibre of initiatives undertaken by nominees and winners alike.

Speaking about the importance of these efforts, Shaon Taludker, founder and chief executive of Geotourist, remarked, “At a time when inequality is growing and disproportionately affecting certain groups, I’m proud to be part of the IWTTF judging panel to witness the truly inspiring examples of inclusion and allyship that attempt to not leave those people behind.”

In the ‘DEI Professional – Individual’ category, Annaliesa Chapman, chief people officer at The Travel Corporation, clinched the winner title, while Red Carnation Hotels secured the top spot in the ‘DEI Professional – Company’ category. Tiffany Casson from Inntel and RISE Travel Institute were celebrated as champions in their respective categories.
