Ski specialist Powder White, a London-based firm, has been severely impacted by Brexit, COVID-19, and the cost of living crisis, leading to its closure.

    • The company, known for providing ski resort accommodations in Europe and North America, was founded in 2003.
    • Customers with upcoming holidays are being contacted to discuss available options.
    • A statement on Powder White’s website expresses regret for the cessation of trading amidst these challenges.
    • The firm’s staff and loyal customers are acknowledged for their support over the years.

Ski specialist Powder White has announced it is ceasing operations, citing the combined challenges of Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current cost of living crisis as insurmountable obstacles. The company, established in 2003, provided accommodation services in ski resorts across Europe and North America, gaining a reputation for quality and reliability.

The impact of these external factors has been described as ‘immeasurable,’ with the firm’s statement admitting an inability to navigate these extraordinary industry conditions. Powder White has initiated communication with customers who have booked upcoming holidays to outline potential options in light of the business’s closure.

In a sincere message on its website, Powder White conveyed deep regret over the situation, stating, ‘Despite our very best efforts, we have regrettably been unable to navigate the extraordinary challenges our industry has faced over recent years.’ The statement reiterated the significant impact of Brexit and COVID-19, further intensified by the ongoing cost of living crisis, which ultimately led to the company’s inability to fulfil obligations and provide for their guests.

The company has pledged to inform all affected parties within three days, while also extending gratitude to its loyal customers, suppliers, and dedicated team who have supported them over two decades of operation. ‘We are so hugely sorry for everyone affected by our failure,’ the website message continued, underscoring the emotional and operational strains faced in the process.
