A new overnight sleeper train service is set to transport passengers from Belgium to Italy, offering a sustainable travel option across Europe.

    • Linking Brussels to Venice, this new service by European Sleeper will operate twice weekly from February 2025, enhancing connectivity during peak winter travel seasons.
    • Passengers will travel through scenic routes, including important ski destinations like Munich and Innsbruck, prior to arriving in Venice the following day.
    • The service will cater to the increased demand for night trains, offering a relaxing journey complemented by onboard restaurant facilities.
    • Bookings open on September 1, promising an innovative milestone in European rail travel as schedules align with school holidays and winter sports peak times.

Plans have been finalised for an exciting new overnight sleeper train that will connect Belgium to the iconic Austrian Alps and the romantic cities of Italy. This new winter seasonal route is expected to commence in February 2025, offering a unique travel experience from Brussels to Venice via a picturesque journey through the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria.

The twice-weekly service introduced by European Sleeper aims to coincide perfectly with key periods like school breaks and peak winter sports seasons, ensuring maximum convenience for travellers. Key stopovers will include renowned ski gateways such as Munich and Innsbruck, culminating in a scenic arrival in Venice, a city celebrated for its historic charm.

Passengers can anticipate an environment that prioritises comfort and relaxation, with dedicated restaurant carriages allowing for a pleasant dining experience as they traverse the Alpine terrains. The seamless travel across these regions not only offers convenience but also a commitment to more sustainable travel alternatives in contrast to air travel.

Bookings are set to open on September 1, with ticket pricing details forthcoming. This development promises a significant boost to the European Sleeper’s portfolio, enhancing the night train options available to passengers eager to explore Europe’s beauty without the constraints of daytime travel.

Chris Engelsman, co-founder of European Sleeper, remarked on the significance of this service by stating, “We are pleased to introduce this new night train connection from the North Sea to the Mediterranean.” This initiative reflects a broader trend towards enhancing night train networks across Europe, addressing both environmental concerns and passenger demand.

The new night train service by European Sleeper represents a major development in sustainable European travel, offering comfort and convenience from Belgium to Italy.
