Cathay Pacific Airways, a Hong Kong based airline operator, is offering new, lower fares on some of its routes for a limited time period.
The airline is offering fares commencing at $1,125 for roundtrip economy class travel from New York JFK, Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles, in the US, to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific, followed by connecting flights to Chengdu, Xi’an or Guilin in China with the airline’s sister carrier, Dragonair. The sale ends June 15, 2012, for travel between September 3 and November 30, 2012. Travellers booking this deal online can enter a sweepstakes to win a three-night stay at the luxurious Shangri-La hotel in the city that they are visiting.
The airfare for the new Premium Economy Class between London, in the UK, and Hong Kong, in China, commences from £1,399 return, on bookings made until June 16, 2012.
Eric Odone, the airline vice president of sales and marketing, said, ‘This month’s deal will have something different that will appeal to every kind of traveller. Whether you want to interact with pandas in Chengdu, unearth the history of the terra cotta warriors in Xi’an or absorb the breathtaking scenery in Guilin, there is a destination waiting for you to explore.’
The airline’s new Premium Economy Class experience offers separate check-in counters, an additional baggage allowance, and priority boarding to its passengers; as well as in-flight amenities such as superior catering, improved entertainment, and a cabin featuring 26 to 34 seats. The seats are available on long distance flights, including flights from New York (US), Sydney (Australia), Toronto (Canada), Vancouver (Canada), and London, to Hong Kong.
