British Airways is offering a new business classes return fare to London from its US and Canadian destinations for travellers visiting London in the summer of 2012.
The airline is offering a $2,012 business class roundtrip fare to London on all bookings made from certain US and Canadian gateways, by July 3, 2012, for travels to be completed between July 16 and September 2, 2012.
The flights on offer are to the London Heathrow and Manchester airports, and include the airline flights, as well as code shared flights operated by American Airlines.
The airline is also offering discounted fares to destinations including Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Madrid (Spain), Dubai (UAE), Cape Town (South Africa) and Mumbai (India).
The airline offer coincides with London hosting the 2012 Olympics Games from July 27, to August 12, 2012, followed by the 2012 Paralympic Games from August 29, to September 9, when around 500,000 additional passengers are expected to arrive at the country.
The airline is an official sponsor for Team GB and ParalympicsGB, and is offering support to around 2000 athletes and officials from 26 Olympic and 20 Paralympic sports in the UK Sport World Class Performance Programme. The sponsorship includes benefits including flight discounts and baggage support.
As part of its sponsorship of the event, the airline is offering is customers a new London 2012 Games-inspired menu, created by Michelin starred chef, Simon Hulstone; as well as opportunities to fly on a number of commemorative ‘Dove’ aircraft, during the mega sporting event.
