Travelodge Hotels, a US-based company that owns and operates hotel properties, has announced a last minute summer offer for the British holidaymakers with a new campaign.
The ‘Give Britain a Break’ campaign is offering families a getaway for the late summer for £25.50 per night. The company is also partnering with numerous tourist attractions, restaurants, and transport companies, to offer a range of holiday savings for families the late summer/autumn period.
To avail of the offer, travellers have to book a room at the participating properties and then download the discount vouchers.
Travelodge is also offering stay packages, which include dinner and breakfast as well as accommodation, for prices commencing from £16.65 per person, for a family of four. The rates are valid for stays from September 8, to November 18, 2012.
Travelodge is currently operating around 500 hotels, offering 35,400 rooms in the UK, Ireland and Spain. The company expansion plans include increasing its portfolio to 1,100 hotels and 100,000 rooms by 2025. For reservations made online at travelodge.co.uk, room rates commence at £19 per night.
The company claims to be known for its innovations, aimed at providing maximum rest and relaxation to travellers, and recently it has launched its Cuddillow range of cuddling pillows, a first in the UK.
The move is in response to a survey carried out by the company involving 2,000 single travellers, which highlighted that around 57 percent of respondents felt lonely on trips, business or otherwise, without their partners, and around 16 percent found it difficult to fall asleep when alone at night. The Cuddillow, a cuddling pillow which is two and half feet long, and has two arms, is being offered to guests by the hotel free of charge, to snuggle into for added relaxation.
