Lucy Huxley’s career in travel journalism has been nothing short of exemplary. She began as the youngest editor of TTG at UBM, showcasing her abilities at an early stage.
Over the past 14 years, she has served as an outstanding business leader at Travel Weekly, a testament to her dedication and expertise in the industry.
Rachel O’Reilly, the director of communications for Kuoni, lauded Huxley’s extensive experience. “Lucy is someone with over two decades’ experience covering the rollercoaster news this industry generates, who has evolved into a statesperson with an amazing ability to connect everyone from senior leaders to frontline sellers”, she said.
Huxley spearheads editorial content across multiple platforms, including Travel Weekly, Travolution and Aspire, and plays a central role in the group’s events.
Huxley’s leadership came to the forefront during the pandemic. She fronted the Recovery Hub and webcasts to help people stay connected, demonstrating her grace and compassion.
She also played a pivotal role in moderating key industry events, including the Abta and Clia conferences.
Huxley has been instrumental in leading Travel Weekly’s major events. She has presented the Globe and Agent Achievement Awards, Future of Travel Conference and Inspiring Women events.
Through her involvement in these events, she has helped young people find their start in the industry through the careers guide Take Off in Travel.
