Vietnam is a new favourite destination for British holidaymakers, according to a recent report. The UK’s Post Office, a mail delivery organisation that also deals in travel currency, has released a report stating that Vietnam’s currency, the Dong, is the fastest growing foreign currency for tourists, emphasising the fact that many more Britons are visiting Vietnam this year. BT, a UK based telecommunications company, has reported that British travellers often find it difficult to take a holiday without checking their emails or social networking sites. Research conducted by the company, which involved 2,000 respondents, has revealed that around 33 percent of them plan to check work emails or voicemails even when they are away on holiday. According to the findings of a survey, UK travellers prefer to book their holidays online rather than use an agent. Trivago, a hotel price comparison website, has completed a survey of around 4,142 people during a two week period, from August 13 to 27, 2012. Around 85 percent of respondents prefer to book their own hotels through the Internet, using a computer or a smartphone, as travel arrangements become more high tech every year. Flybe, a UK-based airline company, has announced the cancellation of its service between London Gatwick Airport and Aberdeen Airport, in Scotland. The airline is currently offering a three times-daily service between the two airports, operating an Embraer aircraft. The last service will be on October 27, 2012.
