Newcastle International Airport has recently announced that Aer Lingus Regional flights has commenced flights from Newcastle International to Dublin. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, a UK-based leisure airline and city break specialist, has announced the launch of the first flights to Athens, as flights departed from Manchester and Birmingham Airports to the historic Greek city. Brittany Ferries has said that its new midweek sailing connecting Cork with France will become a permanent feature of the company’s sailing schedule, as a mark of the company’s long-term commitment to Ireland, Irish tourism and the Port of Cork. Corendon Airlines, the European leisure carrier, has announced the launch of its flight from Birmingham Airport to Turkey offering sunseekers much needed holiday choices for summer. Tunisair, Tunisia’s flag carrier, has said that it has launched flights between Tunis and London Stansted. Tunisia’s largest airline will operate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays using an Airbus A319 aircraft. The route is Stansted’s first scheduled service to and from the capital.
