Ryanair, an Irish low-fares airline, has announced that its Newcastle-Faro route will continue throughout the winter season, operating 2 weekly flights from November as part of its British Winter ’21 schedule. Virgin Atlantic has said that it has entered into an unilateral codeshare agreement with Middle East Airlines-Air Liban (MEA) offering seamless connections between the US and Beirut via London Heathrow. With the agreement, it is claimed that customers booking through Virgin Atlantic will be able to travel between US airports such as Boston, New York JFK and Los Angeles and Beirut, connecting seamlessly between the two airlines at London Heathrow Terminal 3 with a single booking reference and check in. TUI UK has announced the expansion of its holiday programme for summer 2022 from Bristol Airport with the reintroduction of flights to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, and expanded services to other destinations. Following increased customer demand, TUI will increase flights to popular destinations such as Tenerife and Paphos, which will operate three times a week, while flights to Florida will operate twice a week. Wizz Air, the Central and Eastern Europe-focused low-cost carrier, has launched a new service to its growing network from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) with flights to the Italian capital of Rome starting this summer. Manchester Airport welcomed the first passengers to transit through its new Terminal Two extension this morning (Wednesday July 14), the main highlight of the GBP1bn Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MAN-TP). The first flight to take-off from the expanded Terminal Two was a Jet2.com flight to Menorca.
