A global report has revealed that hotel prices in the UK are stagnating. The research suggests that the cost of a nights stay in a major city hotel can show the country’s economic health. Removing Air Passenger Duty would result in an additional 91,000 British jobs being created and £4.2 billion added to the economy in 12 months, it has been revealed. The research, by World Travel&Tourism Council (WTTC), shows that comes as Britain is about to face yet another rise in Air Passenger Duty. Increases planned from April mean a family of four flying to Malaga will pay £52 extra on the price of their tickets. Visitor numbers to the abbey have increased massively since the Royal wedding that was watched by billions of people around the globe. Effective later this spring, all motorists in France will be required to have the disposable breathalyser kit in their car for use for a self-check that they are not driving over the limit after drinking alcohol. Violators of the new regulation without kits in their vehicles will face fines. France is the first country in the world to enforce the extreme measure. It’s part of President Nicolas Sarkozy’s plan to tackle the country’s terrible drunk-driving record.
