At just 24 years old, Emery Wallerich has created a lifestyle that many only dream about: living aboard a luxury yacht, traveling the world, and earning a solid income along the way. The job that many envy, working as a yacht stewardess, has provided her with opportunities to explore the globe while earning between $4,200 and $5,000 per month.

From College Grad to Yacht Life

Emery’s journey to becoming a yacht stewardess began right after she graduated with a degree in digital communications at 22. As she was wrapping up her studies, Emery’s mother, jokingly warned a chief stewardess who rented a property to their family, “Don’t tell this to my daughter, or she’ll want to do it right away.” Little did her mom know, that was exactly what Emery had in mind.

After completing her degree, Emery set off for Florida with one clear goal: to become a yacht stewardess. Today, she works as a second stewardess aboard a 42-meter private sailboat based in South Florida, catering to the needs of a wealthy family. Her role is anything but glamorous, but it’s an essential part of the operation, and Emery loves it. “I make the beds, serve meals and drinks, bring sunscreen and towels, wipe down showers, vacuum, organize karaoke nights—I ensure that the family and their guests have a well-maintained yacht and that they are always taken care of,” she explains.

Living the Dream and Earning Well

Emery’s job takes her to some of the most beautiful places on Earth, including the Caribbean, where she currently resides and works. Her jet-setting lifestyle and her behind-the-scenes experiences aboard a luxury yacht are shared with her 425,000 TikTok followers, where she provides an authentic glimpse into life on the water. “I can save so much money because my accommodation, food, and toiletries are all provided by my job,” she says, adding that her monthly salary allows her to put money aside.

The life of a yacht stewardess isn’t all about luxury—it involves hard work, attention to detail, and managing guests’ needs 24/7. Still, for Emery, it’s a perfect fit. “I’ve already managed to increase my salary during my first two years,” she shares. With experience, her income could rise to $100,000 per year, allowing for an even greater savings potential.

A Life of Adventure and Exploration

In addition to the financial benefits, Emery has traveled to seven countries in the past few years and has plans to continue her journeys across the Atlantic and Mediterranean. The constant travel, coupled with the opportunity to live in exotic locations, makes her job feel like a constant vacation.

While her life may seem like it’s straight out of a reality TV show, Emery emphasizes that her job isn’t all glamorous. “It’s a way for me to utilize my degree in digital communications and to show people that life on a yacht isn’t just about the glitz and glam you see on TV,” she says. “There’s a lot of work behind the scenes, but it’s incredibly rewarding.”

Emery Wallerich’s lifestyle is a perfect example of how a unique job can combine adventure, financial stability, and the freedom to explore. For anyone who dreams of living on the high seas, it’s clear that with the right skills and a sense of adventure, it’s possible to make that dream a reality—and maybe even get paid to do it.
