    Amex GBT and SAP Concur Form Strategic Alliance to Revolutionise Business Travel, Expense and Payment Solutions

    American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT), operated by Global Business Travel Group, Inc. (NYSE: GBTG), a leading provider of software and services for travel, expense, and meetings & events, has entered into a strategic alliance with SAP Concur, a global leader in travel and expense management. This collaboration marks a significant move towards transforming corporate travel and expense experiences by introducing new innovations designed to deliver greater value for customers and suppliers alike.

    As part of the announcement, the companies revealed:

    • Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT (“Complete”) – a new next-generation travel and expense solution
    • Integration of Amex GBT Egencia with Concur Expense, offering clients a streamlined and seamless travel and expense process

    The alliance aims to co-create Complete, an all-in-one platform designed around customer needs, bringing together booking, servicing, expense, payments, and marketplace in a unified, seamless experience.

    When launched, Complete is expected to provide:

    • AI-powered user experience and personalised tools to enhance traveller satisfaction
    • Improved access to and utilisation of travel and expense data for better policy compliance and spend control
    • A richer selection of airline, hotel, ground transport and rail content, alongside modern retailing features
    • A single application offering one unified view across online and offline channels for a consistent traveller experience
    • Joint Amex GBT and SAP Concur account management and support teams to ensure smooth, integrated service
    • Combined AI-driven insights, drawing on the extensive data and expertise of Concur Travel and Expense and Amex GBT’s software, services and marketplace, refining the traveller experience in near real time

    Evan Konwiser, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Amex GBT, said: “This bold step forward with SAP Concur reimagines how travel and expense solutions can deliver unprecedented value to our customers and their travellers in the AI age. Our unique collaboration empowers us to build new software together that deeply integrates our data, marketplace, and servicing capabilities across both travel and expense to deliver the future that the industry seeks.”

    Further integrations, features and enhancements will be announced during 2025, with quarterly feature releases planned to begin in 2026. Complete is expected to be made available to members of GBT Partner Solutions and across Amex GBT’s wider global partner network.
