Emerging Travel Group Reports Surge in Turkey Bookings for 2025

Emerging Travel Group (ETG), the international travel company behind the RateHawk, ZenHotels, and Roundtrip brands, has announced a 15% rise in bookings to Turkey across all its platforms between January and September 2025. The strongest momentum came from B2B users — including travel agents and business travellers — whose bookings increased by 35% year-on-year.

ETG’s internal data highlights both shared patterns and notable differences in travel behaviour across its platforms.

Istanbul, Antalya, and Alanya consistently emerged as the most popular destinations, dominating bookings across the company’s portfolio.

Meanwhile, independent travellers showed a greater tendency to explore coastal resorts such as Kaş, Manavgat, Kemer, and Marmaris. Travel agents using the RateHawk platform made frequent bookings for Belek, Ölüdeniz, and Ankara, while corporate clients most often travelled to Istanbul for business, with additional demand seen in key commercial hubs such as Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, and Mersin.

Average daily spending also varied by traveller type. Individual tourists spent an average of €103 per night, typically booking 3-star and 4-star hotels. Those booking through travel agents or representing corporate clients favoured higher-end accommodation, with average nightly rates of €156 and €218 respectively, predominantly selecting 4-star and 5-star properties.

Leisure travel, both individual and agent-booked, saw a marked seasonal uptick between May and September, peaking in August and September. Business travel demand remained relatively steady year-round, with a modest rise over the same summer months.

To help Turkish hoteliers take advantage of this upward trend, Emerging Travel Group supports them in expanding their distribution strategies and connecting with a broad global customer base — including 20 million monthly users, more than 120,000 travel professionals, and over 30,000 corporate clients worldwide.
