Roomex, a leading platform for workforce travel in the UK, has appointed Keith Watson as President, following his six-year tenure as Chief Operating Officer. He succeeds outgoing CEO Garry Moroney, who led the business for more than six years.
Keith brings over a decade of senior leadership experience in travel technology and B2B software, covering both corporate and workforce travel solutions. Before joining Roomex in 2019, he held senior positions at HRS Group, eRevMax and Internet Retail Technologies Ltd, where he led sales and global supply connectivity, oversaw commercial operations and previously co-founded an angel-backed online distribution start-up.
Since joining the business, Keith has helped guide Roomex through one of the most turbulent periods the industry has faced, rebuilding after the COVID-19 shutdown and lifting gross booking value well beyond pre-pandemic levels. He has played a central role in the development and growth of RoomexRail, RoomexPay and carbon reporting, while helping expand customer value across Europe.
Commenting on his appointment, Keith Watson, President of Roomex, said:
“Roomex has built an outstanding reputation for innovation and reliability in workforce travel, and I’ve seen firsthand the difference it makes for our customers. We help businesses tackle the everyday challenge of getting their people and teams where they need to be safely and cost-effectively. By consolidating booking, payment, policy control and reporting into a single platform, we provide operations, finance and procurement teams with the visibility and control they need to manage workforce travel at scale, without the noise and administrative burden that typically accompanies it.
“What drew me to Roomex in the first place is the same belief that still motivates me today: that technology can make workforce travel radically easier and more sustainable for the companies that keep essential industries moving. As we continue to develop our platform and offering, this feels like a really exciting moment for the business. In this new role, my focus will be on accelerating that growth, deepening our presence in existing markets, opening up new ones where our customers operate, and working with our partners to scale the Roomex platform even faster across the region. I’m honoured to be building on Garry’s legacy and to be working alongside such a talented team and group of partners to deliver even greater value for our customers. Together, we’ll keep raising the bar for how workforce travel is managed, measured and optimised.”
Roomex forms part of Corpay, a global payment and spend management firm. As Roomex broadens its workforce travel offering across Europe, it remains a central element of Corpay’s regional lodging strategy.
Ryan Guthrie, Group President of Lodging at Corpay, said:
“As Roomex moves into its next phase of growth, we’re very pleased to have continuity in Keith’s leadership. He knows the business inside out, he knows our customers, and he has already played a central role in Roomex’s success to date. We have a high degree of confidence in Keith and the Roomex team as they continue to grow the platform and deliver even more value for our shared customers.
“We’re extremely grateful to Garry for the leadership and entrepreneurial drive he has brought to Roomex for more than six years. Under his guidance, the company has scaled, broadened its product set, and built strong, trusted relationships with customers across the UK and Europe.”
Roomex is a free-to-use workforce travel platform offering access to the world’s largest selection of workforce-suitable hotels, exclusive discounted rates, comprehensive expense management and real-time visibility of travel spend, helping organisations reduce accommodation costs by an average of 18% annually.
