City Cruises, a UK-based river cruises operator, will be participating in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee pageant on June 3, 2012.
The company is participating in the celebratory flotilla on the river Thames in London with its fleet of 15 boats. The boats will be carrying around 2,000 passengers, and will be moored on the river before and after taking part in the flotilla.
The company managing director, Kyle Haughton, said, ‘2012 is an exciting time for London and this historic jubilee is something everyone wants to be involved in and City Cruises is proud to be flying the flag for river tourism with this sell out success.
There is a growing demand to increase leisure activities on the Thames and this demand will continue to grow throughout 2012 and beyond.
This is a huge year for City Cruises, as well as, participating in the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics we have a new brand and have launched new products including Lunches, Afternoon Teas and the Sundowner cruises to meet the demand for river based experiences from Londoners and tourists.
In addition, July will see us take delivery of a new boat which will be the largest passenger boat on the Thames. We are looking forward to building on our heritage and continuing to offer the number one tour of the Thames.’
The company is offering short cruises on the river Thames from June 1 to 3, 2012, for passengers to experience the city from the waterway, for a price of £9.50 per person.
