    Escape for Leap Day with London Stansted Airport’s day trip offerings

    As Leap Day approaches, London Stansted Airport has announced an opportunity for travellers to make the most of this extra day.

    The Airport is offering day trip packages to 17 captivating European cities, some for under £50 return. Whether an avid history buff, a culinary enthusiast, or simply looking to be immersed in vibrant cultures, there’s something for everyone.

    Neringa Ohrstrom, London Stansted’s Head of Marketing, said: ‘The excellent choice of destinations available across our extensive route network, along with London Stansted’s easy to use terminal and reliable operation, means people can really make the most of the extra day this February by jetting off to some really exciting cities across Europe.’

    The airport has provided a curated list of destinations and top attractions on offer at London Stansted for Leap Day:

    Under £50 Return:

    Edinburgh, Scotland

    * Explore Edinburgh Castle and the historic Old Town.

    * Wander through the Royal Botanic Gardens and indulge in local cuisine.

    Dublin, Ireland

    * Visit Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse.

    * Experience the vibrant nightlife of Temple Bar.

    Cork, Ireland

    * Explore the English Market and Blarney Castle.

    * Tour the Jameson Distillery and Cork City Gaol.

    Belfast, Northern Ireland

    * Discover the Titanic Belfast museum and St. George’s Market.

    * Stroll along the Lagan Towpath for scenic views.

    Milan, Italy

    * Visit the iconic Duomo di Milano and Sforza Castle.

    * Explore the Navigli canals for a picturesque experience.

    The destinations on offer for under £80 return include Venice, Italy; Stockholm, Sweden; Turin, Italy; Glasgow, Scotland and Vienna, Austria; those under £100 Return include Berlin, Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Rome, Italy and Madrid, Spain, and those over £100 Return include Barcelona, Spain; Bucharest, Romania and Lisbon, Portugal.
