Flybe, a European regional airline, has added Dublin to its offers from Yorkshire’s Doncaster Sheffield Airport, after the airline launched a new partnership with the airport with ten new routes earlier this year.
The new Flybe route from Doncaster to Dublin is available for booking starting August 18, with the first flight taking off on October 30 2016. The new route adds an extra 40,000 seats from the airport. The flights will operate six times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays leaving Doncaster at 6.50 hours, with the Saturday flight leaving Doncaster at 18.00 hours and the Sunday flight at 18.45 hours. Prices start from GBP29.99 and can be booked via www.flybe.com.
Steve Gill, chief executive of Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: ‘We are delighted to announce this new route with Flybe, it is a welcome boost to business and leisure travellers alike, who have enjoyed visiting the Irish city and the onward connectivity it offers to America and Canada.
‘This further strengthens our relationship with the airline and we are really pleased to see the growth and diversity in the routes offered by Flybe since their launch earlier this year. Dusseldorf, Chambery and now Dublin have been added to the original roster.’

We have timed flights to maximise convenience. The early weekday flights mean that business travellers can make the most of having a full working day, and there is more opportunity for travellers wanting to travel onwards to the US and Canada.’
Dublin offers a city break for families and attracts visitors for mid-week and weekend getaways. From the Irish airport, passengers can travel onwards with long haul services to the US. The route enables US-bound passengers to fast-track their journey time to North American destinations, as Dublin Airport offers pre-clearance immigration and customs services. This facility eliminates border checks upon arrival in the United States, as passengers are classed as domestic arrivals.
