The Unforgettable Travel Group has taken a bold step into the cruise sector.

With the appointment of Simon Leeming, the company aims to diversify its offerings.

The Unforgettable Travel Group has announced its strategic move into the cruise market with the formation of a dedicated cruise division. This initiative, spearheaded by newly appointed Simon Leeming, marks a significant diversification in Unforgettable’s offerings. Leeming brings extensive experience from his roles in Tripsmiths, Cosmos, Monarch Holidays, and Superbreak, aiming to elevate the company’s cruise products.

Simon Leeming steps into his role as the cruise product and commercial manager with a clear vision. He will be responsible for implementing the ‘Cruise 365’ vision, providing year-round cruising options. This approach focuses on vessels accommodating 500 passengers or fewer, appealing to travellers seeking intimate cruise experiences. Simon reports directly to Isabel Norman-Butler, reinforcing the strategic importance of this division.

Graham Carter, Unforgettable’s CCO, highlighted the company’s commitment to expanding its cruise offerings. “We have over 5,000 guests enjoying our luxury small-ship cruises in Croatia,” he stated, demonstrating the significant market for Unforgettable’s cruises. The company wishes to ensure these guests continue their cruise journeys with Unforgettable, enhancing customer loyalty and brand strength.

Leeming acknowledges the rapid growth in the luxury cruising market, describing it as an “exciting time”. His focus is on enhancing the company’s existing small ship offerings. This includes developing more bespoke cruising packages that meet sophisticated customer demands, capitalising on the burgeoning interest in smaller, more personal luxury cruise experiences.

The luxury tour operator recently reported a record-breaking period with revenue growth up 20% from 2023. This is attributed to the successful performance of their Croatia division. The company’s dedicated trade team, introduced last year, played a crucial role in this achievement, reflecting the effectiveness of Unforgettable’s strategic initiatives and partnerships.

Graham Carter expressed gratitude towards the company’s trade partners who contributed to the record-breaking wave. The collaboration between Unforgettable and its agents has been pivotal, reinforcing the mutual benefits of these strategic alliances. This synergy aims to maintain the upward trajectory in revenue and market influence.

As the Unforgettable Travel Group embarks on this new venture, the focus remains on maintaining excellence and customer satisfaction. Leeming’s leadership is anticipated to steer the division towards achieving remarkable milestones. The commitment to providing exclusive, quality cruise experiences is at the core of this venture.

The future looks promising for the Unforgettable Travel Group’s cruise division.

Under Simon Leeming’s leadership, success seems inevitable.
