Windstar Cruises has unveiled its latest addition, the Star Seeker, with bookings now open for its much-anticipated voyages.

This new vessel is set to embark on its maiden journey by the end of 2025, charting courses across the Caribbean, Alaska, and Japan.

The Star Seeker is set to commence its maiden voyage on December 28, 2025. Departing from Malaga, Spain, the journey will include a noteworthy stop in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Upon arrival in Miami on January 13, 2026, the vessel will host its grand christening ceremony, marking the beginning of its operational journey.

The Star Seeker promises an exciting season in the Caribbean, with an itinerary that includes ports such as the Dominican Republic and the British Virgin Islands.

This marks a rare opportunity for avid Caribbean travellers to experience the new ship, as its presence in the region will be limited.

Come May 2026, the Star Seeker will venture into Alaskan waters, offering two primary itineraries.

Guests can choose from the Scenic Alaska Cruise, spanning seven or eight days, or opt for the more immersive Alaskan Splendors tour lasting up to 12 days. Both options feature a signature expedition programme with guided small rib boat and kayak tours to bring passengers closer to nature.

The Star Seeker’s Alaskan excursions promise not just scenic beauty but a profound encounter with the wilderness.

Moving its operations to Japan in early September, the Star Seeker will feature the Grand Japan itineraries throughout October 2026.

This schedule aims to captivate travellers with Japan’s rich cultural tapestry and stunning natural landscapes. Guests will enjoy bespoke journeys, designed to offer deeper insights and connections to the locale.

This strategic move highlights Windstar’s commitment to expanding their market reach in Asia.

Following its Japanese expeditions, Windstar is developing comprehensive itineraries in Southeast Asia for the Star Seeker.

These voyages are expected to increment Windstar’s allure in the Asian market, offering new destinations and experiences. This development aligns with Windstar’s strategy to diversify its cruising portfolio beyond traditional locales.

Windstar’s president, Christopher Prelog, expressed enthusiasm over this development, noting the significance of Star Seeker’s debut routes.

“This fleeting chance in the Caribbean showcases the Star Seeker among our fleet, enhancing our offerings uniquely,” he said, illustrating the company’s vision for its newest vessel.

Windstar plans to stage a ceremonious welcome for the Star Seeker in the Caribbean, featuring collaborative events with other ships in their fleet.

Windstar Cruises’ expansion with the Star Seeker encapsulates their strategic ambition to diversify their cruising options.

It represents a significant development in luxury maritime travel, bringing unique experiences to discerning passengers.
