Ryanair, the Irish low-fares airline, has further expanded its London Stansted winter 2016 schedule with a new daily service to Luxembourg from September, 2016.

The service is the latest addition to Ryanair’s European route network and the fourth new Stansted route this winter in addition to Hamburg, Timisoara and Toulouse.

Ryanair’s London Stansted winter 2016 schedule will deliver 109 routes in total, including four new routes to: Hamburg (twice daily), Luxembourg (daily), Timisoara (daily) and Toulouse (daily); two new winter services to Jerez (twice weekly) and Sofia (twice daily), more flights to Alicante (10 weekly), Bordeaux ( five weekly), Faro (daily), Gran Canaria (six weekly), Lanzarote (four weekly), Malta (four weekly), Nuremberg (twice daily), Seville (nine weekly) and Valencia (daily). The airline will operate over 1,000 weekly flights delivering 20 million customers per annum, and providing some 15,000 ‘on-site’ jobs per annum at the airport.

Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said: ‘We are pleased to launch a new London Stansted route to Luxembourg, our newest market, with a daily service starting from September, as part of our winter 2016 schedule, which includes 3 other new routes to Hamburg, Timisoara, Toulouse and will deliver 20m customers p.a. and support 15,000 jobs at London Stansted Airport.

Seats on our new Luxembourg route are on sale now from just £19.99, which are available for booking until Monday (23 May) for travel in September. Since these amazing low prices will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and book themselves a low fare trip to Luxembourg.’

In Luxembourg, Johann Vennest, President and CEO of Luxembourg Airport, said: ‘There has been a lot of speculation about the arrival of Ryanair at Luxembourg Airport; now we can finally confirm the airline has decided to serve Luxembourg. 2016 is becoming a very successful year for our airport and Ryanair is the 5th new airline to decide to fly from Luxembourg this year. Passengers now have a very wide choice of 70 destinations served directly by a selection of full service airlines and low fare airlines.’
