Sky Work Airlines, a Swiss airline, is offering an increased number of flights from London City to Bern, Switzerland.
The airline is increasing its flights on the route to three times daily, from its earlier twice daily schedule. The services are open for advance booking, at the airline website, and will be part of the airline’s winter flight schedule, commencing from October 28, 2012. The one-way fares for summer commence from £199 per person.
The winter schedule also includes the debut of twice-weekly flights to the Croatian capital of Zagreb, from Berne.
The airline chief executive officer, Tomislav Lang, in an interview, said, ‘We are delighted to be taking the London route to three times daily, Monday to Friday.
There was some cynicism when we first arrived on the route, especially as we were flying alongside the bigger, more well-known carriers, but we have received the warmest welcome and have won terrific loyalty for our services.’
The airline’s 2012 winter schedule covers 12 destinations including Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Barcelona (Spain), Belgrade (Serbia), Berlin Schonefeld (Germany), Budapest (Hungary), Hamburg (Germany), Cologne/Bonn (germany), London City (England), Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Rome (Italy), Vienna (Austria), and Zagreb (Croatia).
The airline’s services are currently seeing steady growth, with around 64,000 passengers travelling with the company in the first five months of the current year, from January to May 2012, which represents a four-fold increase on the comparable period in 2011.
