Flybe, one of Europe’s regional airlines, has recently launched its Winter schedule for 2014-15 – providing a choice of up to 2,787 flights a week, and with 22 new routes introduced this winter.
The launch marks the airline’s entry into London City Airport, with seven new multi frequency routes to and from Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Belfast City, Dublin, Exeter, Edinburgh and Inverness. Also offered is the Flybe Shuttle ‘hop on-hop off’ service between Jersey and Aberdeen that stops at Southampton and Leeds Bradford airports.
Other new routes offered for winter include: Aberdeen to Leeds Bradford; Birmingham to Oslo, Berlin Tegel; Dublin to Inverness; Manchester to Amsterdam; and Exeter to Newcastle.
Paul Simmons, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, commented: ‘The diversity of our winter network this year is greatly expanded with the new routes we have added and we’re particularly excited to start Flybe Shuttle and seven routes into the heart of ‘actual’ London.’
‘Our new codeshare with Finnair also furthers our ambition to become the UK regions’ airline of choice as a viable and convenient ‘One Stop to the World’. There is a wealth of additional opportunities for onward travel from our other codeshare partners as well and also with our franchise partners, Loganair and Stobart Air.’
Flybe has recently entered into a codeshare arrangement with Finnair to Helsinki and onwards to a number of destinations that includes 15 in Asia.
The airline has also welcomed Avios on board with a new travel rewards programme, and Spend & Fly, a way to earn flights with Flybe’s credit card.
