Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives welcomes Julia Görges and Wesley Koolhof to their resort for January’s LUX Tennis Star Event.

Earlier this year, Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives announced the presence of LUX Tennis at their resort, bringing professional tennis coaches to the resort to offer a bespoke coaching programme consisting of private and group lessons. Playing on a state-of-the-art court surrounded by Baa Atoll’s tropical foliage, guests at Finolhu have the opportunity to develop their game and enjoy a unique tennis experience. Now, Finolhu is building on its LUX Tennis partnership with their Tennis Stars Events in January 2025.

Currently present in 43 properties worldwide, LUX Tennis specialises in providing personalised tennis management for their luxury resort partners. Programmes can be customised to suit beginners taking up the game, amateurs looking to improve their skills, or serious players wanting to compete in tournaments.

Throughout the calendar year, LUX Tennis hosts their signature Tennis Stars Events at their partner resorts, bringing famous tennis players to the resorts and giving guests the chance to meet and play with seasoned professionals and legitimate stars of the game. Former participants include current men’s world number 3 and 4-time grand slam champion Carlos Alcaraz and current women’s number 2 and 5-time grand slam champion Iga Swiatek, along with a number of former proven champions on the men’s and women’s tours.

From the 7th to the 14th of January, Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives will welcome former tennis professionals Julia Görges and Wesley Koolhof to the resort for a week of group and private lessons and meet and greets. These two highly distinguished players both boast multiple singles and doubles titles on their respective tours, with Koolhof winning two grand slams in his doubles career, giving guests a chance to learn more about their doubles game from a specialist.

The week will begin with a complimentary meet and greet with the players for all guests at the resort, and throughout the week, Julia and Wesley will alternate between 1 hour group sessions and 30-minute private lessons. Group clinics will cost guests $90 (£70) a session, with private lessons going for $150 (£115) a session.
