Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf Hosts Contemporary Art Exhibition

Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf in London, UK, is launching a series of art exhibits from September 20, 2012, which will continue for the entire autumn season.

The art exhibits, made by local talented artists, will be located in the hotel lobby and other public spaces. Some of the artists whose work will be on display are paintings by Alexander Johnson and screen prints by Jason Keeley.

The hotel will also be hosting an entertainment programme to compliment the exhibits. Live DJs will organise music on Thursday evenings, with cocktails and snack foods on offer for guests.

Michael Purtill, the general manager of Four Seasons London at Canary Wharf, said, ‘In recent years, we have realized that many of our guests are also art aficionados and that cultural tourism, especially in the east-side of London, can begin the minute they arrive in the lobby of the Hotel.’

The art exhibit is being conducted in collaboration with Modern ArtBuyer Limited, an online company that is showcasing contemporary paintings, prints and photographs of local talent.

Jessica Lloyd-Smith, the director at Modern ArtBuyer, said, ‘We’ve chosen to exhibit work that we know will enhance the Hotel environment and that we believe will appeal to the discerning business and leisure traveller. The stunning contemporary artwork will bring a sense of tranquility to the ultra-modern three-storey lobby.’

The exhibit launch will be with a party hosted at the hotel, with complimentary cocktail for guests.
