Hilton London Metropole Hotel, located close to Paddington Station, in London, has recently completed a £750,000 refurbishment of its meeting facilities, ahead of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The transformation includes the remodelling of the hotel’s seventeen meeting rooms, business centre and a breakout area, all of which have been given a modern and contemporary look and fitted with state of the art audiovisual technology. The hotel is offering two large conference suites with capacity to hold 1,600 people each, and a theatre style suite with the capacity to host around 1,000 people.
The recent renovation is part of a three-year plan of multiple property remodelling that is currently underway worldwide, for the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand, from the US-based hospitality company, Hilton Worldwide. Previously, the hotel had remodelled the 354 bedrooms in its Conference Wing, making them into what it claims are the largest ‘Double-Double’ rooms in London.
Avner On, the general manager of the Hilton London Metropole, said, ‘Hilton London Metropole continues to offer our meeting and conference delegates the best possible experience when hosting or attending an event at the hotel and this refurbishment stands to improve this experience further still.’
The hotel, claimed to be the largest conference hotel in the UK, is offering a total of 1,054 bedrooms, as well as two restaurants, a sports bar and a cafe.
The hotel is located 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport, through the Heathrow Express link at Paddington Station, 30 minutes from Wembley Stadium by train, and a 10-minute walk from the Oxford Street and West End shopping destinations.
