St Moritz Hotel & Cowshed Spa, nestled between Rock and Polzeath on the north Cornish coast, invites guests to unwind after the bustle of Christmas with its serene Twixmas Break. Designed as an indulgent dinner, bed and breakfast getaway, the experience offers a luxurious pause to relax, reconnect, and restore equilibrium amid the calm of Cornwall’s winter shoreline.

More akin to a contemporary transatlantic resort than a traditional hotel, St Moritz provides sweeping grounds and thoughtfully curated amenities tailored to modern travellers. Whether visiting for a short festive escape or an extended seasonal stay, guests will find everything required for a restorative break.

Perched at the crossroads of ‘posh Rock’ and lively Polzeath, and styled with the elegance of a classic ocean liner, the hotel’s lush gardens and extensive wellness facilities often prove irresistible. Those venturing beyond the resort enjoy direct access to North Cornwall’s captivating landscape. From rugged coastline and hidden coves to surfing beaches, countryside trails, wild swimming spots, renowned chef-led dining, and the St Enodoc links golf course, the surroundings offer year-round appeal.

Running from 26 to 30 December 2025, the Twixmas revitalising package is priced from £240 per couple. It includes an overnight stay in a stylish room, a two-course dinner at the award-winning Shorecrest Restaurant, and a leisurely Cornish breakfast the following morning — an ideal way to reset ahead of the New Year.

The hotel’s £1.5 million wellness centre, unveiled only last year, is fully accessible to Twixmas guests. As the UK’s only Cowshed Spa outside Soho House properties, it features an outdoor hydro pool, steam room, sauna, ice fountains, and sensory showers. Visitors can enhance their stay with a curated wellbeing menu and the renowned Soho House Cowshed treatment collection, offering the perfect antidote to lingering festive fatigue.

For those wanting either mindful movement or quiet reflection, the new gym provides state-of-the-art equipment suitable for both gentle sessions and energising workouts. Afterwards, guests can raise a glass to Twixmas at the champagne bar, choosing from Cornish-made cocktails, fizz, or seasonal drinks.

Dinner at Shorecrest is a highlight of the stay, where guests are welcome to dress up or unwind as they wish while enjoying a two-course celebration of seasonal produce. Following a peaceful night’s sleep, the celebrated Cornish breakfast sets the tone for the day, with the option to extend the experience with a coastal walk, a refreshing dip, or a coffee from the café.

The dedicated St Moritz team ensures a warm, relaxed environment throughout each stay. Guests are encouraged to make use of the hotel’s Cornish Concierge for tailored recommendations, reservations, and insider tips. The St Moritz e-Chauffeur service is also available, offering convenient local drop-offs between 10am and 6pm, covering Rock, Daymer Bay, and Polzeath.

With no obligation to remain for New Year’s celebrations, the Twixmas Break is available for single-night stays or longer visits. Spa treatments can be pre-booked, subject to availability. Bookings can be made at www.stmoritzhotel.co.uk or by calling 01208 862242.
