Travelodge Hotels, a US-based company that owns and operates hotel properties, is offering a complimentary zoo visit for its guests in the US.
As part of its ZOOcation promotion, the company is offering families, with children the chance to receive two complimentary Travelodge ZOOcation vouchers when booking a stay at participating hotels for two consecutive nights.
Travelodge ZOOcation vouchers may be redeemed against a complimentary children’s admission on the purchase of a regular adult admission. The offer is valid at participating Travelodge hotels in the US, booked by September 3, 2012, and redeemed by November 30, 2012.
Rui Barros, the company brand senior vice president, said, ‘Travelodge is a brand focused on fun and adventure and what better way to share that with our guests than by helping them to go out with their families on an adventure of their own this summer to one of the many great zoos throughout the country. With more than 340 hotels throughout the US, average rates starting at less than $70 a night and free extras like breakfast and Wi-Fi, finding adventure doesn’t mean families need to travel far or spend a lot of money.’
In the UK, the company will be creating new jobs by expanding its maintenance team, which will be travelling across the country offering in-house maintenance support to all of the company’s hotels. The team will be providing services including plumbing, the servicing of hotel appliances, the maintenance of decorations, and other general maintenance services within the hotel.
Paul Harvey, Travelodge managing director, said, ‘I believe we are the only UK hotel company that invests in an in-house maintenance function.
With having over 500 Travelodge’s and growing at good pace, employing direct trade professionals makes good business sense. It ensures we have a dedicated resource on hand; whose main objective is to ensure all of our hotels are in good working order at all times.’
