easyJet announces new route and package holidays to Fuerteventura from Birmingham

easyJet and easyJet Holidays have announced a new route and package holiday options to the sun-soaked destination of Fuerteventura from their recently established base in Birmingham, with package holidays now on sale for next summer.

The move follows the establishment of a new operational hub in Birmingham, complete with the integration of three additional aircraft by the spring of 2024. The city of Birmingham is connected to sought-after destinations like Amsterdam, Geneva, Milan, Naples, Lisbon, Faro, and Palma de Mallorca. Additionally, vital domestic links to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Belfast underscore the city’s significance as a travel hub.

With the announcement of 15 new routes set to launch next summer, the number of routes from Birmingham is set to increase to 29, including the addition of Fuerteventura. Fuerteventura boasts immaculate, sun-drenched beaches of soft, white sands, making it a haven for sun-seekers and water sport enthusiasts alike. From rejuvenating sunbaths to thrilling aquatic exploits and snorkeling adventures in crystalline turquoise waters, the island promises a perfect retreat for travellers.

The package holidays to Fuerteventura encompass stays at diverse hotels, each tailored to varying preferences and budget considerations. Notable among these offerings are a 7-night stay at the 3-star Globales Costa Tropical on an All-Inclusive basis for £519 per person from Birmingham on June 20, 2024. Similarly, a 7-night sojourn at the 4-star Occidental Jandia Playa on a Half Board basis is offered at £582 per person for departure on May 16, 2024. Travelers can also indulge in a 7-night stay at the 5-star Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace on a Half Board basis, priced at £879 per person for departure from Birmingham on April 18, 2024. Lastly, a 7-night experience at the 4-star Labranda Bahia de Lobos, on a Half Board basis, can be availed for £685 per person, departing from Birmingham on April 18, 2024.

BA Euroflyer expands Canary Island offerings with addition of Fuerteventura

BA Euroflyer, a subsidiary of British Airways based in Gatwick, has announced the inclusion of Fuerteventura on its route network.

Starting from November 2, 2023, Fuerteventura will become the fourth Canary Island served by the airline, joining Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria. Operating twice weekly during the winter season on Thursdays and Sundays, BA Euroflyer will use a combination of A320 and A321 aircraft to fly to the beautiful island. Additionally, beginning February 28, 2024, an extra flight will be introduced on Wednesdays, further enhancing connectivity options.

Known for its stunning beaches, rugged coastlines, and expansive natural landscapes, Fuerteventura, is the second largest island in the Canary archipelago. With its ideal weather conditions year round, the island is popular among water sports enthusiasts, including surfing, sailing, and windsurfing.

Passengers looking for an enhanced travel experience can opt for the Club Europe (business class) option, offering pre-flight lounge access, improved personal space, a full meal with a selection of drinks from the bar, and additional baggage allowance.

Fuerteventura is the seventh new destination added to BA Euroflyer’s route network this year. In addition to Fuerteventura, the airline recently unveiled new summer flights to Montpellier, Corfu, Mykonos, and Salzburg, as well as new winter services to Sharm El Sheikh and Innsbruck.

easyJet announces new routes and holidays for winter 2022

easyJet has recently added three new routes to its UK network for winter 2022, with packages from easyJet holidays also available.

The new winter services are to some of Europe’s favourite city, winter sun and festive destinations including London Gatwick to Porto Santo, Bristol to Rovaniemi in Finland, and Manchester to Fuerteventura.

Additionally, for next winter the airline will re-establish daily flights from Liverpool to Paris, flights six times a week from London Luton to Madrid, and a twice-weekly service from Manchester to Rovaniemi in Finland.

Further, easyJet Holidays is also offering package holidays to book for this winter on all the new and returning routes, with a range of holiday types available from adult and family to luxury and undiscovered. All easyJet holidays include flights, accommodation, 23kg of hold luggage and transfers on winter breaks.

easyJet to operate three new routes from Belfast in winter

easyJet is planning to commence flight services on three new routes – Fuerteventura, Prague and Salzburg – from Belfast for this winter, according to a report by Irish News.

easyJet’s new service to Fuerteventura will commence on October 31, 2018. Flights will operate on an A320 aircraft twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with fares starting from £26.70 one way per person. The new flights to Prague will commence on October 29, 2018, and will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays on an A319 aircraft, with fares starting from £24.68 one way per person. The new flights to Salzburg start on December 13, 2018. They will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays on an A320 aircraft with fares starting from £24.68 one way per person. The new services will go on sale from July 12, 2018.

In June, easyJet has announced the expansion of its Belfast base with the addition of a third A320 aircraft – its sixth aircraft – to be positioned at the airline’s Northern Ireland base. Alongside the expansion, easyJet had also announced the launch of new routes to join easyJet’s Belfast network with first flights to the Isle of Man, Venice Naples and Valencia.

The airline currently operates up to 624 flights a week across 32 routes and eight percent more flights compared to summer 2017.
