Ryanair to commence new routes to Seville & La Rochelle from Cork Airport

Ryanair, the Ireland-based low fares airline, has said that it will launch its new routes from Cork Airport to Seville and La Rochelle for the first time this June bank holiday weekend (June 1 & 4 respectively) as part of the airline’s biggest ever Summer ’23 schedule.

This Summer, Ryanair will operate over 270 weekly flights across 29 routes to/from Cork Airport, including the new sunshine destinations – Seville and La Rochelle – offering southern customers/visitors more choice at budget fares when booking their summer holidays.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Jade Kirwan, said: ‘As Cork’s No. 1 airline, Ryanair is delighted to operate our first flights from Cork Airport to Seville in Spain and La Rochelle in France this June bank holiday weekend as part of our biggest ever Summer ’23 schedule.

‘These two exciting new routes to Seville and La Rochelle add to our 27 routes currently operating to/from Cork Airport this Summer, including our new Venice and Rome routes, offering our customers in the south of Ireland even more choice and at the lowest fares when booking their Summer ’23 getaways.’

These two new Ryanair destinations will offer even more choice for passengers from across the South of Ireland when booking a summer getaway.’

Seville, the capital city of the Andalucia region in southern Spain, is known for its stunning architecture, authentic Spanish cuisine, and rich history. La Rochelle, on the France’s idyllic western coastline, is a thriving maritime city, located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region with a picturesque harbour, charming old town and lively street cafes.

Southern customers/visitors can book the new Ryanair routes – Seville and La Rochelle – for fares from EUR29.99 one-way for travel until October 2023.

Jet2.com launches new route to La Rochelle from Leeds Bradford

The UK-based airline Jet2.com has announced the launch of a new route to La Rochelle from Leeds Bradford Airport.

With the new route, over 5,000 seats are on sale to La Rochelle for Summer 2018 from Leeds Bradford. Flights will operate every Saturday afternoon until the end of September.

With its range of seafood restaurants, the city of La Rochelle is popular with holidaymakers. La Rochelle, with the walled old town at the heart of the city, provides access via bridge to Il de Re, an Atlantic-coast island of dunes and pine forestry.

The airline has also announced a second new route from Manchester Airport for Summer 2019. The addition of weekly Saturday flights between May and September will offer nearly 7,000 seats between La Rochelle and Manchester Airport for Summer 2019. The flights from Manchester will provide direct access to the harbour port from two UK bases next summer, and will more than double seat capacity, Jet2 said.
