    • Holovis’ advanced technology powers ApolloDomes, creating dynamic, multi-sensory experiences for audiences of all ages.
    • Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth will host the debut with Halloween and Christmas-themed events, featuring immersive theatre, striking visual projections, and large-scale production.

Landsec has joined forces with Holovis, a global leader in immersive experiences, to introduce ApolloDomes – the UK’s first large-scale immersive projection domes – at key retail destinations nationwide.

Launching this Autumn at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, visitors will be transported into extraordinary worlds through immersive theatre, cutting-edge visual projections, and ambitious event-scale production, offering a unique entertainment experience.

The two 19-metre indoor domes feature advanced AV technology to create multi-sensory environments designed to captivate audiences and respond to growing demand for experiential entertainment in the retail sector.

Developed by Holovis’ award-winning creative team, the ApolloDomes experiences build on the company’s track record of projects for destinations such as Alton Towers, SeaWorld Yas Island, and LEGOLAND® New York. To lead production, Holovis recently appointed Mark Hurry, whose credits include acclaimed immersive theatre projects such as Immersive Peaky Blinders, Doctor Who – Time Fracture, and The Great Gatsby – Immersive Experience.

The launch begins with two seasonal experiences for Halloween and Christmas, inviting shoppers to engage with compelling storytelling and interactive features, ensuring a memorable visit to Gunwharf Quays.

Landsec and Holovis plan to expand ApolloDomes to additional UK destinations over the coming year, offering visitors nationwide an opportunity to experience theatrical, digitally driven adventures on an unprecedented scale.

This partnership marks a first-of-its-kind innovation within the UK retail sector, establishing a new benchmark for immersive entertainment and visitor engagement across shopping destinations.

Ben Padley, Head of Consumer at Landsec said: “By bringing Holovis’ next-generation immersive entertainment to the UK for the very first time, our partnership will enhance some of our most popular shopping destinations into spaces that inspire, entertain, and create memorable moments for visitors of all ages.

“Visitors increasingly want dynamic destinations where they can be entertained, eat, drink and shop all under one roof. We’re meeting that demand by pioneering new concepts, creating experience-led places which go beyond what guests might expect from retail destinations.”

Stuart Hetherington, CEO of Holovis, added: “ApolloDomes represents a first of its kind experience, blending next-gen projection technologies and media with world-class immersive theatrical performances to transport guests to an exciting, seasonal destination. We’re extremely proud to be embarking on this journey with Landsec and are very excited to bring this level of immersive experience to guests in the UK.”
