Insight Vacations is taking a bold step with the introduction of small group tours for women, aiming to both empower female travellers and celebrate their specific travel interests. As the travel industry examines ways to become more inclusive, these tours exemplify the growing trend of women-centric travel initiatives.

Intended to kick off in 2025, these unique tours are part of a strategic move to embrace solo and group travel experiences for women. By reportedly incorporating diverse cultural and educational activities, Insight Vacations seeks to make travel more meaningful for women worldwide.

New Initiatives to Empower Women in Travel

Insight Vacations has unveiled a pioneering set of small group tours exclusively for women. This initiative is designed to foster solo travel and draw attention to the role of women in the travel sector. The tours, set to commence in 2025, offer an 8% booking discount as part of their launch celebration coinciding with International Women’s Day.

Women-Only Travel Offers are further incentivised with a rewards scheme for agents in the UK and Ireland. For every eligible booking of a solo female travel package between March 8 and April 8, agents will receive £100 in Lifestyle shopping vouchers. This incentive reflects the company’s dedication to recognising the vital role agents play in supporting women travellers.

    Strategic Partnerships and Research Findings

The development of these tours was informed by rigorous research with Journey Women. A survey involving over 1,000 female travellers was conducted, yielding insightful results.

According to the survey, 65% of participants actively seek women-only tours or options catering to solo trips for women. Additionally, 43% feel the travel industry often overlooks solo and older female travellers. These statistics underline a significant demand for tailored travel solutions among women.

    Tour Highlights and Unique Experiences

Each tour hosts a maximum of 24 guests, ensuring a personalised experience. They include ‘Make Travel Matter‘ experiences focusing on local traditions and women-owned businesses.

On the ‘Country Roads of the Deep South’ tour, participants can explore the women’s civil rights movement. Meanwhile, the ‘Country Roads of Italy Tour’ offers a visit to a weaving association managed by women in Perugia, providing enriching cultural insights.

The ‘Best of Morocco Tour’ is particularly noteworthy, featuring a baking class at a women’s cooperative that empowers women to become professional chefs. Such activities are indicative of Insight Vacations’ commitment to enhancing travel experiences through cultural and educational engagements.

    Comments from Insight Vacations Leadership

Kelly Walker, UK & EU sales director, expressed enthusiasm about the new incentive scheme. She highlighted its dual purpose of celebrating travel agents’ efforts while encouraging more women to embark on solo adventures. She asserted, “We’re very excited to announce our incentive scheme for women-only tours.”

Kelly Jackson, EMEA managing director, also shared insights, stating that the tours have been carefully developed to meet the unique needs of women. She emphasised the company’s intent on facilitating inclusion and opening new doors for women on a global scale.

    Community Building and Support Initiatives

Insight Vacations has launched a social travel group on Facebook named ‘Insight Vacations Women-Only Travel Community’. This platform is dedicated to fostering connections among women travellers, encouraging them to share experiences and tips.

The group aims to cultivate a supportive community, bringing together individuals with shared interests and facilitating discussions on various travel experiences. Such efforts are essential in building a network of women who are empowered to explore the world.

    Promotions and Discounts

The women-only tours are accompanied by attractive promotions. An 8% discount is available for bookings made before May 31, making these tours not only appealing but also economically accessible.

These financial incentives are strategically designed to encourage early bookings and enhance the visibility of women-specific travel opportunities. They serve as an effective tool in promoting the new tour offerings.

Future Implications for the Travel Industry

The introduction of small group women-only tours by Insight Vacations represents a significant step towards inclusivity in the travel industry. It addresses a previously unmet demand, providing women with opportunities to travel in a safe and supportive environment.

In sum, Insight Vacations’ launch of women-only tours signifies a commitment to cater to the distinct needs of female travellers. Through strategic incentives and community-building efforts, these tours are poised to create more inclusive travel opportunities.

By aligning with the interests and safety concerns of women, the company not only enhances its brand image but also potentially sets a benchmark for other operators to follow in the rapidly evolving travel industry.
