    G Adventures Expands to Tibet and Broadens Customer Age

    G Adventures resumes its Tibet tours, incorporating new itineraries in Asia to cater to increasing demand.

    G Adventures resumes its Tibet tours, incorporating new itineraries in Asia to cater to increasing demand. Trips to Tibet will restart next year, capitalising on Asia’s growing popularity. Alongside Tibet, new routes in China and South Korea reflect travellers’ heightened interest in these regions.

    Safaris in Africa and Central America trips are now accessible to all ages, no longer limiting participants to those under 39. Notably, the value-for-money safaris in Africa and multi-country tours in Central America are now open to older travellers. This change aligns with the company’s strategy to widen its audience and meet varied traveller interests.

    The company’s upgraded fleet and equipment enhance travel experiences in Africa while keeping accommodation basic in Central America. The African safaris feature a refurbished fleet of overland vehicles and improved camping gear, enhancing the travel experience while maintaining the authenticity and adventure that distinguish G Adventures trips. In Central America, although accommodation remains basic, the inclusion of older travellers facilitates deeper exploration of countries like El Salvador and Honduras.

    Relaxed visa policies in China and rising interest in South Korea prompt the reintroduction of tours in these regions. The easing of Chinese visa policies allows the reintroduction of Tibet in their programme—a positive response to the escalating interest in Asian destinations. The new Classic tour in South Korea, combinable with Japan, highlights these nations’ enduring attractiveness.

    Vice President Yves Marcaeu highlights a growing market for affordable, rugged adventures among older travellers. Product Vice President Yves Marcaeu notes that opening these typically younger-focused itineraries to older demographics stems from recognising their desire for more adventurous, grassroots experiences. “These trips are perfect for them, and the prices can’t be beat,” Marcaeu states, pointing to a segment of customers growing older yet eagerly seeking vigorous travel experiences.

    G Adventures’ strategic expansion caters to older adventurers, making a wide array of dynamic and affordable journeys available.
