Recent research by BVA BDRC reveals a marked increase in the number of UK consumers booking overseas package holidays. A considerable 64% of UK adults plan an overseas trip this year. Among them, 60% are opting for all-inclusive or other types of package holidays, a notable rise from 58% the previous year and 45% in 2019.
Consumers continue to face financial realities, with 24% reporting they have been ‘hit hard’ by rising living costs and another 44% expressing they ‘have to be careful’. BVA BDRC researchers note that the personal impact of the financial crisis remains severe, as personal savings are consistently reported as lower compared to the previous year.
