Ambassador Cruise Line has reinforced its dedication to marine conservation through an extended partnership with the eminent organisation Orca. This renewed collaboration for the 2025/26 season aims to bolster ocean biodiversity and environmental education among travellers.

In a significant development, Ambassador Cruise Line has renewed its collaboration with the renowned marine conservation charity Orca for the upcoming 2025/26 season. This partnership underscores both entities’ commitment to marine protection and education. The no-fly itineraries have been designed to visit destinations of critical importance to marine biodiversity, reinforcing their shared mission to preserve ocean ecosystems.

The newly unveiled itineraries include the Iberian Multigenerational Adventure, Gems of Spain and Portugal, the Classical Mediterranean, and the awe-inspiring Land of the Northern Lights. These routes are meticulously planned to highlight regions of ecological significance, aiming to raise awareness among travellers about marine conservation. Each journey promises a captivating blend of natural beauty and educational experiences.

During the latest season, Orca reported an impressive 8,062 sea life sightings, a testament to its impactful conservation efforts. Two dedicated ocean conservationists will accompany guests on 21 voyages, offering insights into oceanic ecosystems. This initiative aligns with Orca and Ambassador’s joint endeavour to foster knowledge and engage cruisers in meaningful action to safeguard marine life.

Christian Verhounig, Chief Executive of Ambassador Cruise Line, expressed his enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership with Orca. “Working alongside Orca has been incredibly rewarding, as it has allowed us to not only support vital research but also to raise awareness among our guests and crew about the importance of protecting marine life,” he stated. This sentiment echoes the line’s dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Steve Jones, Director of Funding and Operations at Orca, highlighted the partnership’s role in expanding the charity’s reach to more crucial habitats. He noted, “Operating aboard Ambience and Ambition provides our Ocean Conservationists with invaluable opportunities to gather crucial data on vulnerable ecosystems worldwide, all the while educating guests on how they can contribute to the protection of whales and dolphins.” This statement reflects the strategic expansion of educational outreach efforts.

The initiative goes beyond data collection, focusing on education as a pivotal tool for conservation. By hosting conservationists on board, both Orca and Ambassador aim to leave a lasting impression on guests, equipping them with the knowledge to become advocates for marine life protection. This unique approach enhances guest experiences, enriching them with both leisure and learning.

As Ambassador Cruise Line and Orca look ahead to their fourth year of partnership, the focus remains on evolving conservation efforts and educating future generations. Continuing their mission to preserve marine biodiversity ensures a sustained impact on both ecological health and public awareness, promising a future where marine conservation becomes a cornerstone of global travel experiences.

The extended alliance between Ambassador Cruise Line and Orca reflects a shared commitment to fostering environmental awareness and action. By combining travel with conservation, they are setting a precedent for sustainable tourism efforts worldwide.
