Travelopia Tailormade has appointed Luke Swarbrook as the new trade partnerships manager. He brings extensive experience in travel retail and business development.

Swarbrook, previously with Blue Diamond Resorts, will assume his new role on July 15, reporting directly to Simon Garrido, head of sales at Travelopia Tailormade.

A Strategic Move for Travelopia Tailormade

Travelopia Tailormade, the umbrella company for esteemed brands like Citalia, Sovereign Luxury Travel, and American Holidays, has strategically strengthened its team by recruiting Luke Swarbrook as the new trade partnerships manager. This crucial role entails fostering and managing relationships with trade partners, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to its B2B strategy.

Swarbrook’s appointment follows the departure of former trade partnerships manager Kevin Gaddes, marking a significant transition. He arrives with a robust background in travel retail and business development, which is expected to bolster Travelopia Tailormade’s trade partnerships and sales initiatives.

    Extensive Experience and Expertise

Luke Swarbrook brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having previously served as the business development manager at Blue Diamond Resorts. His career in the travel industry has equipped him with significant expertise and a network of valuable contacts. Garrido, head of sales at Travelopia Tailormade, commended Swarbrook for his enthusiasm and industry insight, stating, “Luke joins with a huge amount of experience in trade-facing roles and brings great contacts and enthusiasm.”

Swarbrook’s role will encompass all aspects of relationships with trade partners. He is tasked with driving growth and development, aligning with Travelopia Tailormade’s broader strategies for expansion and market penetration. The company’s investment in trade partnerships remains evident through various initiatives designed to engage and incentivise agent partners.

    Incentive Programmes for Agents

Currently, Travelopia Tailormade is running a Virtual Passport incentive programme that will be active until the end of August. The programme offers agents a £10 Love2Shop voucher for each booking made, with further rewards available as they accumulate stamps in their virtual passports.

Once agents earn three stamps, they can choose from several rewards, including a £50 John Lewis Voucher, a £50 Franco Manca Voucher, a case of Californian wine, or a Dock & Bay Beach Towel. Accumulating 10 stamps will see agents win all these prizes, collectively worth £200.

Garrido noted, “We had a huge amount of interest and some fantastic candidates to choose from, so a big ‘well done’ to him. We have lots more to look forward to in the months ahead and it will be great to have Luke on board to support the growth and development of these.” This optimistic outlook underscores the strategic importance of Swarbrook’s role in the company’s future plans.
