easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has signalled the end of traditional week-long and fortnight holidays with the launch of easyJet Holidays.

easyJet Holidays has been established following a collaboration between easyJet and the Lowcosttravelgroup, one of the leading on line travel companies in the UK, and offers consumers flexible, convenient and competitively price holidays across the airline’s extensive network.

Unlike traditional holiday brands, with easyJet Holidays consumers will not only benefit from fully protected holidays with a brand they trust but also the flexibility and choice of easyJet’s network along with Lowcost’s range of high quality, great value accommodation and transfer services.

Carolyn McCall, chief executive officer at easyJet said: “An overhaul of the holiday market has been a long time coming. Consumers want more value for their money and more freedom when arranging their holidays. We are confident that the combination of flexibility, exceptional value and choice, together with a state of the art website and call centre, will ensure easyJet Holidays becomes a leading brand in the holiday market within three years.”

easyJet flies from 18 UK airports to destinations across Europe, operating on over 540 routes with over 196 aircraft across 30 countries. It operates more flights than any other British airline. Lowcosttravelgroup will provide over 10,000 hotels ranging from luxury 5 star to great value 3 star options with private and shuttle transfer options across all of easyJet’s European, North African and Middle Eastern destinations.

This combination will provide customers with the choice and flexibility to enable them to tailor their holidays to the dates and times they want to travel, no matter how many days that involves. This means customers can easily book a fortnight long family holiday or a weekend city break.

easyJet Holidays is available from easyJet.com, Britain’s most used travel website with over 325m users per annum and also on all major search engines and price comparison sites, and through an affiliate network of over 3,000 web sites such as voucher code, cash back and travel editorial sites. The website is backed by a state of the art call centre network of highly qualified sales and customer service staff who will provide help to customers if they prefer to arrange their holiday deals by phone.
