Trip.com has officially joined Online Travel UK (OTUK), the leading association representing the UK’s most prominent online travel companies, aiming to strengthen the coalition’s influence on pro-consumer policies and technological innovation within the travel sector.

As one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive travel service providers, Trip.com offers access to over 1.5 million hotels and flights from more than 600 airlines, serving 3,400 airports across 220 countries and regions.

It will work alongside OTUK members, which includes intermediaries, online travel agencies, booking and rail platforms. Together, the coalition collaborates with government, policymakers and regulators to advocate for an innovative, competitive and consumer-centric travel and tourism industry.

Andy Washington, General Manager – Europe at Trip.com says, “The UK is a key growth market for Trip.com, and joining Online Travel UK allows us to work collectively on shared priorities, from improving the customer booking experience to advocating for innovation and transparency in travel.

“We’re looking forward to collaborating with other leaders in online travel to help shape the future of the UK travel industry. Together, we can help make travel easier, more accessible, and more sustainable for millions of people.”

Online Travel UK says, “Trip.com’s global scale and expertise add strength to our mission of ensuring UK travellers enjoy choice, great value and strong protections. As the travel industry and technology continue to evolve, expanding our membership of leaders in online travel enhances our ability to shape policy, champion consumer choice and demonstrate the significant contribution our sector makes to the UK economy.”
