TUI, one of the UK’s leading holiday providers, has announced its winter 2020 programme with the reintroduction of holidays to Sharm El Sheikh.
The flight to Sharm El Sheikh from Cardiff is now on sale with weekly flights operating on a Monday, with the first flight departing on November 2, 2020. This announcement comes after TUI last month announced plans to add over 30,000 extra seats Cardiff for summer 2020.
An Egyptian city on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm El Sheikh is known for the red sea and amazing sandy beaches, high quality hotels for stay and year-round sun. Four hotels including old favourites along the beautiful Red Sea coast are now on sale, TUI said.
The Exclusive 5T TUI Magic Life Sharm El Sheikh is a favourite of customers travelling to the region year after year. Overlooking the Straits of Tiran, the Magic Life concept resort boasts a spa, fitness gym, sporting activities and professional live entertainment. The all-inclusive beach resort has three swimming pools and four restaurants offering regional and international cuisine.
The Exclusive 5T Reef Oasis Blue Bay includes a private beach, a water-park and a large outdoor infinity pool. The hotel is located near the Naama Bay with a wide choice of eating establishments, including an onsite Italian restaurant and a pub bar that serves food 24 hours a day.
TUI UK&I’s Director of Aviation Planning, Karen Switzer, said: ‘Earlier this month TUI announced its winter 2020 and summer 2021 holiday programme which has since expanded with more destinations and added flights. We are delighted that the additional flights provide holidaymakers departing from our regional airports with even more choice when deciding where to go away. With additional flying capacity and more than 1,000 hotels already on sale for summer 2021 it gives those planning ahead the opportunity to choose the most suitable airport, destination and hotel.
‘The customer is at the heart of everything we do and this additional growth to Sharm El Sheikh from Cardiff demonstrates our continued commitment for people to discover their smile with us.’
Spencer Birns, Chief Commercial Officer at Cardiff Airport, said: ‘We are very pleased TUI has decided to bring Sharm El Sheikh back as a destination for customers in Wales. Our passengers love going to this part of Egypt and by TUI adding to the 25 holiday destinations served with direct flights from Cardiff, we are sure it will once again prove to be very popular.’
